Convention Checklist

Packing up for a convention event can be a whirlwind of second guessing and "will I need it" questions, especially if it is your first time. We have provided a checklist of recommended items and suggestions when you gear up for the event you are going to. Check out our Blogs for more tips and helpful tidbits.

  • Badges / Tickets
  • Map and directions to Event
  • Map of Event Site
  • Schedule
  • Money & Emergency funds
  • Identification (Drivers' lic. or passport)
  • If required, Covid test results or immunization record(s) 
  • Jumper cables
  • Extra car keys
  • Battery charger

In & Around Crash Space
  • Sleeping items (optional; ex. eye mask, pillow(s), sleeping bag, sleeping pad)
  • Headphones
  • Toiletries
  • Bottled or canned beverages
  • Jelly, jam
  • Bread
  • Energy food and snacks
  • Fruit (dried and fresh)
  • Coffee, tea, cocoa
  • Honey or alternative sweetener 
  • Plates, mugs, cups
  • Utensils
  • Resealable storage bags
  • Cooler with ice

​Fun Stuff
  • Paperbacks or ebooks
  • Playing cards
  • Board games
  • Repair Kit items for any props or costumes (duct tape, glue, touch-up paint, sewing kit, multi-tool)
  • Cosplay(s) (makeup, costume, props)
Personal Items
Tip: Keep similar items together in a mesh or clear stuff sack.
  • ​Spare eyeglasses, contact lenses
  • Mirror
  • First-aid kit
  • Moleskin and/or chafing lubricant
  • Medications, pain relievers
  • Toiletry kit
  • Brush, comb
  • Sunglasses, earplugs
  • Hand sanitizer

Inside/At the Event 
Check regulations ahead of time for rules about what you can bring inside the convention area(s).
  • Daypack
  • Cash/credit card
  • Cellphone
  • Water bottles or hydration reservoir
  • Snacks
  • Memory cards, film
  • Camera, if you're not using your phone
  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm
  • Earplugs
  • Charging cable and adapter

Clothing/Footwear
If chilly nights are possible, come prepared.
  • Moisture-wicking underwear
  • Boots or Shoes suited for long walking
    (you can always switch out when you are cosplaying)
  • Socks (synthetic or wool fabric to prevent blisters)
  • Sleepwear
  • Jacket or long-sleeve shirt
  • Sun hat or baseball cap, if you stay outside for most of the event
  • Bandanas or neck gaiters
